Two brothers who built an AI cat door to keep rogue mice out of the house 🐭
Scientists at the Smithsonian estimate cats in the US catch between 6 and 22 BILLION mammals every year… some of which get delivered right to your kitchen floor.

Martin Rosinski's cat Jinx was one of those sneaky little hunters (her record was three mice and a bird in one night!! 😳). So Martin and his brother Tomas Rosinski from Northumberland, England, devised a creative solution to stop the midnight mouse madness

Martin and Tomas… what a creative way to outsmart a cat!! 👏👏👏
A Canadian engineer who used AI vision to build an umbrella that follows you
One survey found nearly 1 in 5 people get caught in the rain without an umbrella 🌧️ and over half said it's because they forgot it.
So John Tse, a Canadian engineer who runs the YouTube channel I Build Stuff, decided it was time to reinvent the umbrella. I mean... why hold one yourself when you could make it FLY over your head instead?! 😹🤯
Pretty smart thinking!!
Bragger, I wanna know:
Would YOU walk around with a flying umbrella?
A mom who missed her kid’s school pickup… so she built an AI app to make sure it never happens again
*Not sponsored 🐱
According to one survey, parents get ~20 school and kid emails a WEEK 😵💫 Field trip reminders, permission slips, schedule changes and a million other things you're somehow expected to keep track of.
No wonder 62% of parents in that survey said they've missed something important buried in their inbox!!
Just ask Alix Anfang, a mom of two from New York. She missed ONE email about
early dismissal and wasn't there to pick up her 7-year-old 😬 Every parent's nightmare!
So just like any regular mom on a Tuesday night (okay, maybe not EVERY mom 😹), Alix pulled up Claude and she built an app to keep track of her kids' school emails FOR her.
How cool is that??
Alix… you're such a cool mom!! 🫡📬
A guy who used AI to drive his vacuum with a PS5 controller… and accidentally took control of 7,000 robot vacuums
Sammy Azdoufal is the head of AI strategy at a vacation rental company, and all he wanted was to drive his new robot vacuum around with a PS5 controller. So he had Claude Code help him figure out how the vacuum talks to DJI's servers, and he pulled out his vacuum's private login key.
Then Sammy's laptop started getting messages from robot vacuums he'd never seen. In living rooms he'd never been in. In countries he'd never visited 😳
But Sammy, being one of the good guys, reported it so DJI could lock down the vulnerability (and DJI paid him $30,000 for spotting it!!)
Way to make the internet a little safer, Sammy! 👏👏👏

Which story's got you feline impressed? 🐈
One thing I LOVE about AI is that you can “hack” pretty much anything you want… your inbox, your umbrella, even your cat 😹
Just look at the humans we bragged about today!
Martin and Tomas used AI to stop their cat from bringing dead mice into the house 🐭
John turned a drone and a camera into a hands-free umbrella ☂️
Alix used Claude to build an app that keeps track of important school emails
Sammy used AI to control his vacuum with a PS5 controller… and accidentally uncovered a security flaw affecting thousands of robot vacuums
Your mission this weekend (if you choose to accept it! 🕵️): find one everyday problem or tiny annoyance and see if AI can help you hack it.
Maybe it's a hack for doing your laundry, or a tool that reminds you to water your plants before they turn crispy. 🪴
I bet AI can do it!!
Then hit reply and tell me what you tried… I read every one 🧡
